A typical day at Woolaston Under 5's

A daily routine gives children a sense of security. This is why we ensure each day is properly structured while leaving enough time for spontaneous activities.

The daily routine at a glance

Time Activity
09:00 a.m. Arrival and registration. The children all sit in a circle and are asked to confirm that they are with us today. 
9.15 a.m. Free play. The children are allowed to chose which toys they play with and have access to the indoor and outdoor area. 
10.30 a.m. Tidy up time followed by snack. The children are encouraged to learn to be tidy and to put away what they have used. They then sit at the table and have a healthy snack and either milk or water.
11.00 a.m. Free play and small group time. The children are taken into smaller groups and involved in various activities. 
12.10 p.m. The children are asked to provide their own packed lunch and are taken into the Woolaston Primary School hall to have their lunch with all the other children.
12.40 p.m. Following lunch the children return to the playgroup and are encourged to play outside. 
2.15 p.m. The children have their afternoon snack followed by circle and story time before they go home. 
3.00 p.m. Hometime
